What made River’s exit/goodbye even more depressing is that she was the last living thing that was linked to Amy and Rory. River Song is The Doctor’s last real connection to the Ponds. And now they’re all gone.

me: so the doctor regenerates for the eleventh time and the first person he sees is a little girl named amelia pond and he says he'll be back in 5 minutes but he actually takes 12 years (even though it's really only been 5 minutes to him in the tardis) and amelia's all grown up and calls herself amy and she flies away with him on adventures through time and space along with her boyfriend/husband rory who she later has a baby with even though she doesn't even know she's pregnant because she's being locked away by a secret alien agency who wants to raise her baby to eventually kill the doctor but then we find out that amy and rory's baby is actually the doctor's wife river song who actually knew her parents their entire lives because she used to be their best friend growing up until she eventually regenerated into the woman she is now are you keeping up
